Why we build our trading stack in-house
At XMG, technology is not a supporting function. It is the core of what we do, and that is why we design, build and operate it ourselves.
Control from end to end
Trading systems have to be fast, but above all they have to be correct and reliable. When every layer is built in-house, from market data and networking to pricing and risk, our engineers understand exactly how the system behaves and can improve any part of it without waiting on a vendor.
Speed with discipline
Low latency matters in our business, but speed without control is a liability. We treat performance and safety as the same problem:
- Measure everything. We monitor our systems continuously and make decisions based on data.
- Test before trading. Changes go through simulation and staged rollout before they reach production.
- Risk built in. Risk checks are part of the trading path, not an afterthought, and exposure is monitored on every trade.
Small teams, full ownership
Our engineers own what they build, from the first design to running it in production. Short feedback loops between research, engineering and trading mean good ideas move quickly and problems are fixed at the source.
Always improving
Markets evolve and so does our stack. We invest continuously in our infrastructure, our research platform and our tooling, because staying reliable in changing markets requires constant work.
